Sparta vs. Athens
We will begin assembling details about two of the major
city states in ancient Greece
, Athens and Sparta.
Pick up a book and go to chapter 12.
As you read today gather as many details about the culture of each of these cities/
“Come home with this shield or laying upon it.”
Two Greek City States
- Military state in the south of Greece
- Strong, well trained soldiers were feared throughout Greece.
- Boys joined the army at the age of 7-Woman
