Minuteman Scholarship
There are still scholarships available for senior Cadets who want to become Army Reserve officers. If interested, qualified Cadets should act immediately.
Contact Major (Retired) Killeen, our Recruiting Operations Officer at greg.killeen@ung.edu to discuss eligibility. (Must have good grades, good SAT or ACT scores, excellent physical fitness, good leadership potential and record of extra-curricular activities).
Cadets receives pay for basic and AIT, weekend drill pay, and Montgomery GI Bill. Also, Soldiers in the Guard or Reserve do not pay mandatory fees at UNG which saves $1,826 per year. In addition, Georgia residents who are contracted to commission receive up to $3,000 per year in Future Officer's Grant from the State of Georgia.
Leaders in our Corps of Cadets get paid. Cadet first sergeants, sergeants major, company commanders, battalion commanders, brigade commander and a few other key position are paid more than $600 per month, and get free room and meals (about $9,500 per academic year).
