The Foundation will award several $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors and students currently accepted to a college or university. Students must be pursuing a hospice-related or medical career and/or experienced the loss of an immediate family member (parent, sibling).

GTLA is pleased to offer the 7th Amendment Scholarship to college-bound high school seniors who exhibit a keen awareness of the societal and judicial value of the Constitutional Right to Trial by Jury and Georgia’s Civil Justice System. Applicants will need to submit an original essay. Award: Grand prize: $1,000. First Runner up: $500.

In order to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits, all student athletes, whether high school seniors or college students, are eligible for this $500 award regardless of which sport they are participating in. Their participation may be any capacity - as a player, coach, assistant or official.

Award: Nursing Schools Almanac will award a $1,000 scholarship to an aspiring nurse.
