This exam consist of 20 multiple choice questions and one open question (with several sub-questions).
For the MC-part you can get 45 points; for the open questions 27 points. The score on the MC-questions will be corrected for chance. For each sub-question in the open question part, the maximum number of points you can get is indicated.
Each MC-question has four alternative answers, of which only one answer is the best. Indicate on the examination form which of the alternatives is the best. Follow instructions on the examination form.
Fill in your version number, student number, name, address, zip code, name of the exam (Research Methodology) and the date on the examination form. Give your student number in numbers as well as by marking the corresponding boxes.
On the final page of the exam you can indicate which answers you gave on the MC-questions. You can take this answer slip home. The key will be put on Nestor.
To answer the open questions, use the text box below each question. Take your time to think about your answer before writing it down. Answer in clear and correctly spelled sentences. Note that we can only grade what is actually written, not what you intended to say with these words. You can ask for scrap paper if you need this.
The exam is a closed book exam. You are not allowed to have any written materials on your table which can help you to answer the questions. Calculators are not needed for making this exam. Mobile telephones are not allowed in any circumstances.
The complete exam should be handed in before leaving the exam hall. You are only allowed to take home the answer slip for the MC-questions.
