ADDISON SCHOLARS The Addison Scholars program is seeking to support students from South Carolina to participate in international education. -Addison Scholars will be selected for awards of $5,000 each. -The award is intended to offset the cost of participation in a Moore School of Business Global Classroom Program. -Scholars will be selected based on academic merit, financial need and international enthusiasm. -Improve your resume with great experience! ____________________________________________________________ Selection Criteria Minimum GPA 3.0 Be a full-time, undergraduate, degree-seeking USC- Columbia student Be a student in the Moore School of Business Be in the process of applying or have already applied to a business Maymester/Summer study abroad program. Submit completed application materials to Amanda Birkenhauer in the Office of International Activities in the Moore School of Business by the posted deadline. Be able to submit a non-refundable deposit of $350 on your chosen program. *Preference will be given to students from South Carolina. Duties and Responsibilities You will receive notification of your award within a few weeks of the application deadline. The actual award funds are disbursed during the Spring Term. In order to access the funds, you will need to go to Self-Service Carolina and apply the award to your student account. Any remainder will be issued to you in the form of an overage check. The overage check will be sent to your permanent address so make sure your address is correct in your student account. Please note that you are responsible for submitting the T-1 form to the Financial Aid Office and for covering any deposits due before the disbursement of the scholarship. Study Abroad Application Addison Scholars 2017 Short-Term Study Abroad Program Application Process: Step 1: Fill out the application thoroughly. Typed responses required. Step 2: Submit: Application form, Sealed Academic Reference Letter from a USC faculty or staff member, Financial Aid Award Letter (printed from my.sc.edu), and an unofficial USC transcript (printed from my.sc.edu). Step 3: Return to Amanda Birkenhauer – Printed and submitted in hard copy to DMSB 228 by 5PM on Wednesday, November 16, 2016. I understand that failure to satisfactorily complete the study abroad program can result in my scholarship funding being revoked.
