OUTCOMES
Program Objectives:
Upon program completion, the Nursing Assistant student will be eligible for testing for an STNA and be able to:


  1. Provide safe, proficient and compassionate nursing care, applying safe patient care principles and therapeutic communication skills.

  2. Recognize the importance of meeting the fundamental needs of every individual.

  3. Interact professionally with other health team members.

  4. Identify the patients’ Bill of Rights.

  5. Demonstrate safe, efficient and effective patient care.


Policy: Remediation
Free basic academic skill remediation is available through the Adult Basic & Literacy Education (ABLE) Program. Students attending remediation classes may do so at any of the Pike County CTC ABLE site locations.
